Bellbird Grove

Sunday was the perfect afternoon for a visit to Bellbird Grove with the family. Bellbird Grove is located off Mount Nebo Road in D’Aguilar National Park (formerly Brisbane Forest Park). It is approximately a 30 minute drive from Brisbane’s city centre or 10 minutes drive from its neighbouring suburb, The Gap.

We have been coming here for years, as it’s a beautful spot for a picnic and a brief spot of bushwalking. It also has a lovely creek, perfect for skimming smooth rocks. Just beware of the wildlife if you do decide to have a picnic, as you will find many a cheeky Kookaburra perched above your table. A Kookaburra has been known to steal a sausage or two from us in the past and guess what I captured above our table on Sunday…

We always enjoy going as a family and tossing the soccer ball area, as it has plenty of large grassed areas too.
