A lot of my friends have been hopping on the healthy bandwagon lately and making me feel guilty for giving into my pregnancy cravings. So today, I thought I’d try something different and give the whole green smoothie thing a try. I went with my own recipe because I couldn’t find one I liked in my juices book.
Rach’s Green Smoothie Recipe
– 1 1/2 sticks of celery
– 2 Granny Smith apples
– 1 medium carrot
– a handful of spinach
– 1 cup of water (the local store was out of coconut water)
I blended all the ingredients together (wish I owned a juicer) and then strained the mixture into a glass to make it into a nice juice to drink. Here’s the final product. It might not look that appetising but it tasted delicious. If you like drinks sweet, I would suggest adding another apple or actually using coconut water.
